"45,000 visitors over three days": How locals and politicians spent their time at Farm World 2025

The Gippsland Monitor did the rounds at Farm World, asking locals and politicians about the events importance to the region and what were their personal highlights of the agricultural fair.

The Gippsland Monitor spent a couple of days at Farm World last week, talking to people at the three-day summit about how long they’d been coming, why it was important to the region and what their favourite event was.

We got to talk to Baw Baw Shire Mayor Danny Goss, Liberal candidate for Monash Mary Aldred, Independent candidate for Monash Deb Leonard and a whole bunch of locals having a good old time.

Mayor Danny Goss highlighted the economic importance of the event to Gippsland.

“It’s extremely important. You see 45,000 visitors over three days, it makes a big difference to the economic input in this area.”

Labor Party candidate Tully Fletcher declined to comment.
