Gippsland shoppers are not hopeful grocery prices will get better

We talked to shoppers in Warragul about the cost of living crisis and how it was impacting their shopping lists.

The Gippsland Monitor has been out chatting to locals recently about what issues they see impacting their daily lives the most. One prominent issue across Gippsland is the cost of groceries.

We talked to locals in front of Woolworths in Warragul about how much they have noticed grocery prices increasing, if there was anything they had cut out of their shopping list and whether they thought the next federal election would bring about any cost of living relief.

One responder said that they doubted there would be any relief soon.

“I’m not optimistic to be honest, both parties really haven’t done a lot”.
